Nairn, once known as ‘The Brighton of the North’ and renowned for its beautiful beaches boasts two championship golf courses within the town, Nairn Dunbar Golf Club and The Nairn Golf Club. Castle Stuart Golf Links is only six miles along the A96 which is currently one of the top 60 golf courses in the world.

At The Westerlea we offer five en-suite bedrooms, with a full Highland breakfast, ideal for small golfing parties or a place to recharge you batteries while touring this beautiful part of the country. Sit back and relax in our fully licensed bar where we serve locally sourced home cooked food at reasonable prices. Or just enjoy a well earned drink from our extensive range of beers, ciders, spirits and wines or opt for a nice Malt Whisky from our collection. Our bar also shows all sporting events on Sky and BT Sports. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. We are located just off the A96 if you are traveling by car or we are a short walk from the train station, there is also a bus stop right at our front gate. Absolutely perfect, staff were always helpful, went out of there way to make my stay comfortable, morning breakfast was always very good and the evening meals in the bar or dining area were superb, bar atmosphere was always friendly. Will definitely be back soon for a relaxing weekend with the wife.
Stayed one night for the Rat Race Coast to Coast event. I had an early checkout and the hosts kindly got up to make sure I had breakfast and gave me a lift to the start of the event. The room was very comfortable — would definitely recommend and happily stay again!

Great friendly staff, lovely clean, spacious room. Exceptionally dog friendly, fantastic breakfast, with great choice, and cooked by the owner! Bar area, which sadly I didn't have opportunity to spend time in, but good recommendation as frequented by locals! Great beach a short walk away. Was only a one night stay so didn't really have time to explore area. Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay. Really enjoyed our evenings in the bar area with locals having a chat. Lovely breakfast and dinner. Staff were so very helpful and lovely. Great location. Highly recommend a stay at Westerlea.

Just perfect for us travedlling with 2 dogs. Good location, plenty of car park space, and a lovely breakfast in the morning 🙂
Stayed for 2 nights 2/5/25,so peaceful,room was perfect, breakfast and service and banter was lovely,( young )breakfast waitress was a gem giving us information about places to visit, Findhorn foundation was a place we had passed numerous times well worth the visit,thanks for a great 70th birthday
Always enjoy my stays at the Westerlea Hotel in Nairn. Staff cannot do enough and are always very friendly and the rooms are always very clean and tidy. Unfortunately my last stay at the Westerlea due to retiring but cannot say enough about this Hotel 🤩

Room was ready on arrival and spotless. Also the bar aera was pet friendly and the patrons were all great with us.
We ended up staying in there for dinner that night and our dog was allowed in the dinning room with us during dinner which was great. The 3 course meal's my Wife and I had were lovely and really good size portions.
All in all would recommend this Pet friendly accommodation to anyone. We will be back again of that I am sure.

Stayed here a few times due to the high standard of cleanliness and the lovely comfy beds and just to mention the fantastic Scottish breakfast that you get, keeps you full for hours. Chris and team are so helpful with anything that you need. Had a family get together in the bar which was lovely and warm and service was amazing. Thanks again Chris for your hospitality.

Had a family emergency which required 2 rooms at short notice. The hotel were ultra flexible for us as names changed.
We went to the quiz, which was great, and had a family dinner there. All was excellent.

We had a lovely stay with our two dogs and would definitely would book again. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication about dinner one evening, which was the only issue we had. Given a discount without asking was appreciated. We had a lovely big room in which the dogs had loads of space.
Have just had the best fillet steak, chips, onion rings, mushroom & tomato in the delightful Westerlea in Nairn. |Food way top class as was the service. This is an absolute gem of an establishment owned & run by Chris Reid. |You’ve got to try this venue out or you’re missing out on a fantastic treat. |Will definitely be back.

Wonderful place to stay. Fantastic breakfast and great dinners. Super nice owner and staff makes you feel like family. Close to the airport. We will stay there again.
Only stayed 1 night, room was large & clean. Staff were excellent as was the food. Location was close to the airport for us, so did nt venture out in the area.
Everything was wonderful. The staff were amazingly polite and helpful, and especially kind to my 5 year old and 1 year old baby.
The room was exactly what we needed, spacious, clean, and comfortable. I wish we could have spent more time there, and can’t wait to come back

Such a lovely hotel, staff made us feel very welcome. Our meal was lovely, best lasagne I've had. Table waiter gave excellent service. Very pleasant staff. Room was lovely and big , nice and cosy. Superb breakfast. We will definitely return

At the hotel, everyone was kind, personable, professional and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and you chose from a menu. I tried their special one morning, which was smoked salmon!
